Transforming plastic systems requires more than policy alone — it requires spaces where solutions can be tested in real life. This policy brief introduces PISCES Living Labs as practical infrastructures for co-creating, trialling and refining solutions to plastic pollution alongside communities, businesses and policymakers. Drawing on evidence from Indonesia, it shows how Living Labs can accelerate adoption of reusable packaging, improve household waste sorting, and inform smarter Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) design. The brief makes a clear case for scaling Living Labs as part of Indonesia’s national plastic strategy.
